Oil sand is a kind of vast content unconventional energy in the world, because miningand refining cost is bigger, oil sand has not been valued. But as the tight supply of crude oilresources in recent years and rising oil price, oil sand is getting more and more attention. Allcountries in the world started to use and mine oil sand.Indonesia is a country which has richoil content. Indonesia oil sand has high oil content, at30%~40%, has very highly use value.So it has very high practical significance for analysis and treatment of Indonesia oil sand..According to sources in the Indonesia oil sand, we have done the following aspects ofwork. First analysis of Indonesia oil sand components, analyze its oil, sand, water and theasphaltenes content, the property of recovery oil is analyzed. In order to understand Indonesiaoil sand well, search the most suitable separation method. Second, for Indonesia oil sand,based on a large number of relevant data, choose to adopt two kinds of separation methods:one is hot water washing method; other is organic solvent extraction. Respectively investigatethe separation conditions and influence factors of the two methods, figure out the besttechnological conditions and formula. Selecting water, alkaline and surfactant aqueoussolution to peel oil from oil sand in hot water washing method, the oil content rate in the sandand oil removal rate as the evaluation standard, ultimately two percent mass fraction ofsurfactant formula three is determined the best washing condition. In organic solventextraction, respectively using toluene, n-heptane, petroleum ether, kerosene and carbon ten forIndonesia oil sand. Through the comparison of oil content in the sand and oil removal rate,toluene is found to be better solvent for Indonesian oil sand. Through the comparison andanalysis for the two kinds of separation methods, organic solvent extraction is chosen as thebetter suited separation method for Indonesia oil sand.The research results of this study manifest mainly in the following aspects:(1) Indonesia oil sand contains oil34.51%(including asphaltenes6.36%), sand65.49%,trace water ignored.(2) Through the screening of large amounts of surfactants, choose the best cleaningsurfactant formula for Indonesia oil sand. Under the best condition, Indonesia oil sand oilextraction rate reached70.32%. This method is characterized by low processing cost, simpleprocess, not easy to produce secondary pollution. Deficiency is the oil resource recovery rateis low. (3) In organic solvent extraction, toluene is determined as the best extraction solvent.Under the condition of optimum process, oil removal rate reached more than98%. Thismethod is characterized by high oil resources recovery rate, no water and simple operation.The deficiency is toluene toxicity, high energy consumption of toluene recovery.
