In many basic industrial production, material crushing is often a very important process. As early broken crusher equipment, jaw crusher is still widely used in metallurgical, chemical and mineral processing and other industrial sectors for its simple structure, reliable operation and other advantages.Aiming at the disadvantages of the traditional single shaft compound pendulum jaw crusher such as uneven crushing material, low efficience, much wear of jaw plate, difficult to get ultra-fine crushing as well as lagre power consumption, a new type of double shafts compound pendulum jaw crusher were proposed in this paper. The structure model of the new type double shafts compound pendulum jaw crusher was established by seven hinges insititutions. The main research contents and results are as following items:(1) Kinematics model of the double shafts compound pendulum jaw crusher was constructed by complex vector method. Displacement, velocity and acceleration of each hinge point of the double shafts compound pendulum jaw crusher were analyzed. What’s more, the characteristics of travel agencies, the minimum transmission angle, yaw angle brackets and quick-return characteristics of the double shafts compound pendulum jaw crusher were studied, which found that its characteristics of travel agencies satisfied the decreasing trend from feed port to discharge port, the minimum transmission angle and yaw angle brackets met the job requirements of the crusher, and no obvious quick-return characteristics helped reduce vibration of the crusher in order to ensure a good crushing effect.(2) Dynamics model of the double shafts compound pendulum jaw crusher was constructed by the lagrangian method. The kinetic properties of the crusher were analyzed and the force size and regularity of each hinge point and the movable jaw plate were concluded. The results proved that the crushing force of the crusher met the required material crushing force.(3) The changes of the structure and motion parameters of the crusher like gear ratio, phase angle, rod length and corporation between the eccentric shafts, which influenced the kinematics and dynamics performance were mainly studied based on the characteristics of travel agencies of the movable jaw plate, the forces of C, D, N three hinge points and the horizontal crushing force of the movable jaw plate. Based on these studies, the structure and motion parameters of the double shafts compound pendulum jaw crusher were optimized by using the multi-objective genetic algotithm. And then, contrast test were done and studied, which shows that compared to the traditional single shaft compound pendulum jaw crusher, then new type double shafts compound pendulum jaw crusher has a significant advantage in crushing material uniformity, crushing efficiency and energy consumption saving.
