Development Of Wireless Vibration Online System For The Dust Blower Of The Converter

Dust blower of converter is a key equipment of the dust removal system of the converter which is responsible for sending the waste gas to the air or to the recycle system. Due to the heavy task and the terrible working environment, the failure rate is very high, and if the failure is not found in time, it’s easily cause terrible problem. So it is very important to closely monitor the blower. We conducted an investigation on the monitoring status of the dust blower of the converter and the difficulty of the blower monitoring, so that we promote the wireless vibration online system for the dust blower of the converter. The system is simple to install, easy to maintain, safe and reliable.In this paper, we summarized the common faults and their vibration curve characteristic and introduced the pretreatment methods of the signal, signal extraction methods and the diagnostic methods which are used in the system.During the architecture design of the wireless vibration online system of the dust blower of converter, we use two kinds of wireless communications:Zigbee for general communication and Wi-Fi for data transfers to reduce the system power consumption. And we introduced the system in general.The design of the sensor node and activate node is a focus of the monitoring system hardware design, including the selection of the key components and the design of the circuit diagrams.The software design of the monitoring system includes the PC software designed, the sensor node software design and the activate node software design. And the PC software uses multi-threading and Socket to communicate with these sensor nodes in the same time.Once the wireless vibration online system ware done, we test it in a mill of Wuhan and the result shows that the system runs well and could keep it for a long time, so that it could fully meet the need of the factory.
