Therefore, the research to the speed and tension control of coiling units is to ensure thatpad dyeing machinery system has better performance. The structure and operating principle ofpad dyeing machine are analyzed in detail; and control target of padding mangle and paddyeing system is determined through thorough of the composition of control system. Thenprovide a designing to the overall control system of pad dyeing machine as well as thecontrolling of speed tension drive to ensure that the scope of the tension of fabric is kept at aconstant range during the dyeing system. The hardware design including the design of drivecontrol touch screen, power supply module. The essay systematically described the designingbased on the man-machine interface touch screen. Provided designing of the login andmonitoring screen, parameter setting, and alarm interface, etc., as well as the interfacesimulation results. Also did research on the typical process in coiling process that is closelylinked to tension controlling. Moreover, the essay introduced factors in the winding tensionfluctuation in the coiling unit control system to accurately derived methods of rolling diametercalculation and the dynamic torque compensation.This design has also established mathematical model of three-ring feedback winding unitand presented a design of the conventional PID control. In view of the characteristics oftime-varying, nonlinear model of the pad dyeing machine, did a rather theoretical study on themodel reference adaptive PID control. And employing model reference adaptive PID controlmethod with reference to the Lyapunov Stability Theory, designed the adaptive controller andthe adaptive control rules, made it possible for the winding unit to update real-time correctionparameter of the controller, to realize the controlling of constant tension and constant linearvelocity. At last, the author compared two control methods simulation, and the result showsthat when the system is running normally, along with the increasing of coil diameter orexternal disturbances, the model reference adaptive PID controller is better than theconventional PID controller inadaptability. It can modify the controller parameters in a timelymanner to adapt to outside interference, to reach the stable status more quickly, to ensure thestability of the system, and to guarantee the quality of products.
