In recent years, due to the small size, less money, the small and medium-sized enterprises in our country which engaged in injection molding production, have low level of mechanization, automation. In these enterprises,they mainly relied on manual for picking up workpieces. With the rapid development of the injection molding technology, the process of manual operation feeding, and taking-the traditional mode of production-in injection molding processing has been unable to meet the needs of high-speed development of the injection molding industry. Using manipulator to instead of manual operation in injection molding process, is a kind of effective method to do high speed, high efficiency and high quality production, which also has become an important trend of the development of injection molding technology.In abroad, the technology of injection molding machine manipulator starts early, with the development and application of the industrial robot technology, appeared with injection molding machine loading robot, cooperating with the transfer system, these equipments form the automatic production line for injection molding. While in domestic, only enterprise which has the large-scale injection molding processing will adopt injection manipulator, many small and medium-sized enterprises are still using manual operation to take production.This way of working has low efficiency and pose a safety hazard. In recent years, the enterprise had a lot of challenges in the market competition, which make enterprise have to consider using automation equipment to improve production efficiency and reduce costs. For the injection molding machine manipulator which has used, has high cost, single function. At the same time, the adaptability of manipulator to plastic injection machine mould is not very well.This paper based on a horizontal, small and medium-sized injection molding machine and small nozzle three board mould, through the analysis and research to industrial robots domestic and foreign, design a kind of robot specialized used for injection molding machine and design its control system, and make the kinematics and finite element analysis and optimization design. The main research contents are as follows:(1) Study manufacturing process of the small nozzle three board mould, analyzes the structural characteristics of horizontal injection molding machine and the work requirements of up-down material, determine the working principle of manipulator, design the overall scheme of injection molding manipulator.(2) According to the overall plan, summarize and draw on the successful design experience of domestic and foreign industrial manipulator, respectively make analysis design and calculation for each mechanical components of manipulator and according to the system requirement, design the pneumatic circuit of the manipulator and check the safety of the circuit.(3) According to the design scheme, make design and research to the manipulator control system. Design the control system with PLC as the center for manipulator, and select the key control element. Finally, in accordance with requirements of the manipulator operation action, develop control program of the system.(4) Make kinematics simulation and finite element analysis to key parts of the manipulator.Using kinematics analysis software conduct motion simulation for the manipulator. Using finite element analysis software make analysis to cantilever of the manipulator,verify the design accuracy and make optimized design to base components to reduce the cost of the manipulator.Finally, summary and prospect the full text.
