According to the essential characteristics and the time and space characteristics of spontaneous combustion of coal seam and the special characteristics of spontaneous combustion of coal seam during deadtime withdrawing the working face for fully mechanized caving face, combining existing technology and equipments of GuaningDi mine, this paper brings forward the comprehensive way to control fire of deadtime withdrawing the working face for fully mechanized caving face, which gives priority to prevention, makesthe early prediction as forerunner, and combines some advanced technology such as series of GRT materials for fire prevention and infrared detection and so on. First, the paper makes the detailed analysis to the coal spontaneous combustion characteristic and the pore characteristics, it gives the preventivemeasures of spontaneous combustion of coal before dismantling supports which is discoursed upon some aspects such as reducing the orientation of spontaneous combustion、Destruct the condition of heat storage、Reduce the air supply and so on, these measures are all aimed at factors of spontaneous combustion before dismantling supports, which have some important practical significance for ensuring dismantling supports safely. secondly, using the Fluent software to forecast spontaneous combustion danger degree of29403fully-mechanized caving goaf during mining the shelves and simulate the distributional regularity of the goaf flow field and temperature field during mining the shelves. According to the analysis of simulation results, designing the ventilation, air volume, the shelves solution of the29403fully-mechanized working face during the shelves, and setting the special fire prevention plan during the shelves. Meantime, the paper makes the prediction of spontaneous combustion of coal and the detection of fire seat as the pivotal technology for controlling fire. It researches and establishes the forecasting system for the coal spontaneous combustion of29403fully-mechanized working face during the shelves. Which demands utilizing the tube-bundle monitoring of index gas, the infra-red monitoring, the temperature monitoring of coal together in order to put into practice, which timely monitoring Gas content abnormally changes, and positioning high temperature point accurately, eliminating by the proper measure. Finally, By performing the special fire prevention project and the spontaneous combustion prediction technology means, smoothly completing the operation of the shelves and the face closed, and formulating the special fire prevention scheme after the shelves.
