With the heavy medium cyclone keeping developing to large-scale, its lower limits constantly rising. The extensive application of flotation column in flotation also makes the upper limit of flotation drop. In this case, the coarse slime between the low limit of the heavy medium cyclone and the upper limit of flotation can not be separated effectively. In recent years, large gravity-fed three-product heavy medium cyclone without desliming and grading has been rapid developmented. Heavy medium preparation for slime process has also been applied to practice for a extension process of it. The purpose of the heavy medium preparation for slime process is to give full play to the advantage of high accuracy in heavy medium processing, and improve the lower limit of the processing system. So the coarse slime can be recycling at the maximum extent. We can get coarse slime at quality standards and reduce the flotation feed and production costs.At first, analyse the properties of the raw coal and slime in Lulling coal preparation plant. During the optimization of data, washability curves were drawn by detailing the float-sinktest data. And then calculate the rate of float and sink of heavy medium preparation for slime,vibrating sieve bend and slime Centrifuge in slime direct recovery process and heavy medium process. The experiential mode of partition curve was drawn by single machine check data. According to the translation theory of partition curve, we can make it true to predict the clean coal yield in the same ash. Find the affect between the heavy medium preparation for slime and total yield of clean coal. In order to guide field production better.
