Village is an important organizational of the regional society; the rural social and economic development are important condition for regional sustainable development. How to promote rural social, economic, and environmental development is an important issue in rural and agricultural management and related disciplines experts concerned, which is also the focus areas of environmental economics and management.In an organic agriculture demonstration base wanzai County as an example, through analysis of the current situation of society, economy, environment of the base construction, this paper construct a rural sustainability evaluation system, and use the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to assess the sustainability of the base, mainly due to the impact of base of sustainable development in sustainable construction scheme.Research shows that, the comprehensive evaluation of sustainable development of organic agriculture based on index is higher. The development of organic agriculture in rural area has very good reference to achieve the sustainable development of rural. But the main factors affecting the base of sustainable development is significantly, too. They are mainly the weak economic foundation, low efficiency of resource use, environmental pollution in rural areas general and the poor technical service capability. Aiming at these problems, this paper put forward to develop organic agriculture as the leading direction, the solutions of the sustainability of the infrastructure construction, the comprehensive improvement of rural environment base, the construction of service system as the main content, in order to provide theoretical and scientific guidance for the base construction and the social and economic development in rural areas.
