In recent years, with the change of market demand of carpet, the order of textile enterprise is tending to more color need and small-lot. To traditional textile company, when the order needs to be changed, the company must spend at least1-2days changing the yarns. And in these days, the carpet loom must be stopped. Sometimes, if the color is complex, the time will be longer. To improve the efficiency, company must spend more labor cost. Also during the process of weaving, lots of yarns are wasted when changing the yams. So under the circumstances, company is facing the contradiction between efficiency and cost.To meet the development of textile enterprise at home and abroad, we develop the automatic winding control system of the intelligent creel. Then we can improve the intelligence of the creel, raise the efficiency of production and decrease the cost of company to solve the problems the textile enterprise are facing.The automatic winding control system of the intelligent creel is based on the technology of PLC and motion control card. Under the coordination of host computer, PLC and motion control card will work together to finish all actions. The automatic winding control system of the intelligent creel consists of two subsystems. This paper introduces the hardware design and software design of both control subsystems. With the help of this system, we can realize the function of winding as required, yarn breakage detection and power-cutting protection.At the end of this paper, we analyze the accuracy of yarn, aiming to make the right yarn to meet the need of production.
