With the continuous improvement of quality of living, quality of life and emotional satisfaction is increasingly being valued by the public.People are no longer just focusing on the substance level, but more on the symbolic value, which are emotional sustenance, pleasure and social status. As an important part of everyday life, commodities are closely related to people’s quality of life, thus are essential in providing people with high emotional satisfaction. The demand for product’s affinity has occurred under this context and premise. This report will explore the integration of affinity design in stationery products that college students use daily. Through decorative design, we can make such products irresistibly friendly; thus become vivid and emotional partners of college students, allowing students to have fun, pleasure and sense of belonging amid stressful college lives. These products can help ease the pressure from schoolwork and personal lives. Meanwhile, it can help to create a clean and refreshing studying environment, which can add an elegant touch to school life. Therefore, the thesis of my graduation essay will be "stationery product designs with affinity."Firstly, this article explores the marketing position of the essential elements of stationary products among student consumers through research reports, mainly in the form of questionnaires. The goal is to understand students’ needs for stationary products and their consumption ability. By researching on the acceptable price ranges, personal preferences, emphases on product attributes, we reached the conclusion that product affinity can be expressed through colors, themes, elements, shapes, graphics, and other channel combinations, which provide a pragmatic basis for our design.Second is theoretical literature on the research on affinity. The research was conducted from two aspects:affinity design and the relationship between affinity and stationery gift. The aim is to gain the methods and forms to demonstrate affinity through dissecting the definition of "affinity", providing theoretical guidance for design and the forms of expression.Finally is the practical research report, which indicates the entire implementation process. This includes the supporting theories of practice and market evidence, the idea and implementation of design planning, which are all detailedly recorded. In the end of the article, there is a summary and reflection of the design.
