In recent years,global warming and extreme weather have attracted world-wide attention.Countries around the world deeply realized that carbon emission has caused fatal influence on global climate due to the widespread use of conventional fossil energy for a long time.Now they are actively seeking solutions.To that end,green and low-carbon sustainable development becomes a focus and low-carbon city construction receives much concern.Taking Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city(hereafter called Tianjin Eco-city)as the research objection,this thesis figured out the Eco-city's carbon emission target.Firstly,it introduced the classification and sources of greenhouse gases,scope of city carbon emission and its statistical method.Next,it illustrated the importance of low-carbon city planning in reducing urban energy consumption and carbon emission and the planning situations of Tianjin Eco-city,including its economy,building,industry,transportation,municipal and energy.Then based on the energy consumption data and practical situation of Tianjin Eco-city,its carbon emission was finally figured out and its carbon emission was predicted via energy conservation and emission reduction scenario analysis and energy structure adjustment.The calculation results showed that energy consumption of building heating was4827602 GJ per year,of cooling was 1769011 GJ,others was 826.9 million kWh per year,gas consumption was 17.42 million m~3 per year and the total carbon emission only in construction field was 1.467 million tons per year.Therefore,the key point of energy saving and emission reduction shall be put in construction field.Then,after the analysis on the residential buildings heating,cooling as well as traffic and municipal energy consumption,considering the city planning and construction of Tianjin Eco-city,there were two kinds of carbon reduction scenarios were produced.Ultimately the carbon emission of Tianjin Eco-city was 9.95 billion tons per year and its per unit of GDP carbon emission target was 142.0 tons per million dollar GDP.
