Directional drilling technology appears most early in the last century40’sAmerica, now, directional drilling technology has become very important inpetroleum exploration and development technology, has been widely applied invarious fields all over the world. But the well trajectory design is not only the firstlink of directional drilling technology, and is one of the key technologies, hasattracted more and more attention. In the directional well drilling engineering in theearly, two dimensional wellbore trajectory selection of simple shape, easyconstruction can basically meet the drilling requirements. But with the easy miningarea of oil and gas resources gradually exhausted, directional well trajectory design of3D becomes more and more important. Three dimensional directional well trajectorydesign software can not only meet the conditions of the trajectory design requirementsin the two-dimensional space, and can make trajectory in three-dimension space.Directional well trajectory can be divided into two directional wells and3Ddirectional wells. The mathematical model consists of linear model, surface modeland cylinder model, the inclined plane model is the most widely used type. Theminimum curvature method based on plane model is the most commonly usedalgorithm.Three dimensional directional well trajectory design software is an important partof3D visualization of remote tracking analysis system. The three-dimensional designsoftware directional well trajectory based on well data and target data, calculate thecorresponding trajectory through one model.The software function modules are divided into data processing module,calculation module and design module. Among them, parameter calculation module isthe core of the software.The rotary steering drilling system is the third generation of drilling tools, drillingtechnology is one of the most advanced. Although in China has emerged a rotarysteerable drilling system, but also widely used old cylindrical model and surfacemodel, could not reflect the advantages of rotary steering drilling. This paper solvesthe problem of matching track and drilling tool by the modified inclined plane model.
