Rhodiola is the dried root and rhizome of crassulaceae Rhodiola crenulata (Hook.f.et Thoms.)H.Ohba, which has the role of benefiting qi for activating blood circulation, regulating meridians and relieving asthma. It is is a usual Traditional Chinese Medicine for treating deficiency of vital energy, stagnation of blood, thoracic obstruction, cardialgia, apoplexy and hemiplegia, lassitude and asthma. Rhodiola mainly lives in the alpine zone of the Northern Hemisphere, most of them grow under the stone or the bush at an altitude of3500~5000meters high mountain. Rhodiola lives in poor conditions, such as hypoxia, hypothermia-drying and so on, so it has very strong vitality and special adaptability. Rhodiola is rare wild plants which is from the Alpine non-pollution areas. It is also rarity medicinal material. Therefore, the deep development of Rhodiola has high academic value.This topic collected6different sources of Rhodiola, and did related researeh to quality control factors of raw herbal materials, including Characters, water, ash, acid insoluble ash and extractive. The results showed that the indicators meet the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopeia.Besides, this study set up a flame atomic absorption spectroscopy(FAAS) method, using the HNO3-HClO4system sample digestion to determine the contents of trace elements including Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn in6kinds of Rhodiola samples. Results showed that the contents of trace elements were abundant, they are listed here in order of relative quantity, from highest to lowest, Fe> Mn> Zn> Cu. The recovery rate of this method was92.71%~102.23%.Salidroside is one of the most important ingredient of Rhodiola. It has the function of enhancing immunity, protecting cardiovascular, radioresistance and can be widely used in the fields of health care, food processing. In this study, the extraction technology of Rhodiola was carried out with L9(34) orthogonal design, using three indexes including the added water, the time of extraction and the temperature of the extraction as the investigation factors, then on this basis, to design orthogonal experiment. To pick out the optimized ultrasonic water extraction process on the index of yield rate:the additive water amount is1g:20mL, the time of extraction is60minutes and the temperature of the extraction is30℃. This research results provide scientific reference for the mass production of Rhodiola.
