Flaxseed is one of Chinese major oil crops, it is highly nutritious and wide used. With the continuous improvement of quality of life and growing demand of food safety, flaxseed is widely welcomed. The flaxseed shelling devices played greater roles in flaxseed production, however, it is still at experimental stage and has rare theoretical research in China currently. And as a result, the current study could not supply references for the flaxseed shelling devices.Based on the above, research on flaxseed shelling is quite necessary, the main contents were as follows:Firstly, the optimal shelling principle was determined by systematical analysis of traditional and new-style shelling principles at home and abroad, and comparison between two types of commonly used equipments currently.Secondly, a flaxseed shelling equipment was developed, which was based on flaxseed shelling principle and comprehensive theoretical analysis and calculation.Thirdly,10varieties of flaxseed were collected,9domestic cultivars and1from abroad, the flaxseed from Inner Mongolia Jining District was studied and other cultivars were used for confirmatory experiment.7factors were selected to analyze the shelling effects of the experimental flaxseed shelling equipment, which included moisture content of flaxseed, wheel speed, distance between the grinding wheel and blades, mesh numbers of grinding wheel, feed rate, the number of blades and the flaxseed shelling times.Finally, The parameters of flaxseed shelling devices were optimized based on orthogonal test and orthogonal regression test. Effecting of factors and indexes, effecting between factors and its significance level were studied, and the verification tests of optimized parameters devices were made.
