With the development of industry and more requirement for environment protection,high-frequency electrostatic precipitator(ESP) power supply gets more and more attention,due to the advantages of high power factor, less response time, and higher dust removalefficiency. However, there are some problems in the process of engineering applications,such as atrocious work condition with high-voltage and poisonous gases. Dust-removalefficiency is greatly effected by the dust collector and dust parameters; setting optimalcontrol parameters under different operating conditions is required due to dust-removalefficiency is greatly effected by the dust collector and dust parameters; it’s hard to monitorseveral powers at the same time, because the dust remover body is huge and has longdistance to the power. Therefore, it has important value in engineering to design the ESPmonitor from the points of improving the safety, flexibility and efficiency of the system.The mechanism of ESP and the working principle of the ESP’s high-frequency LCCresonant power are analyzed in detail, and the key factors that affect the dust collectionefficiency are researched. Through the changes of circuit output caused by flashover, thecondition of the judgment flashover and the best flashover rate control with controlling therising time of the output voltage are confirmed. On the basis of researching the CANnetwork adapter card-PCI-1680U and ODBC database access technology an ESP powermonitoring system based on CAN Bus is designed in this paper, which is developed byVisual C++computer language and has the functions of remote control, remote measure,setting value,warning, ploting graphic etc. It has easy operation and friendly interface, andcan save and analyze historical and real-time data, that can sovle the problems met inengineering application, With the help of data analysis and data processing, staffs canoptimize the system.The computer technology and field bus technology are applied to the centralizedmonitoring and management of multiple high frequency power supply for ESP. Based ontheoretical analysis and system design, through experimental verification about singlemachine local power supply(72kV/500mA) and monitoring system, the reasonable parameters given in different conditions are proved in the experiments. The monitoringsystem increases the level of management.
