Wax injector is the key equipment for precision investment casting. The follow-upprocess is designed by the wax model quality. Currently, during the process of waxinjecting, domestic wax injector can not control the parameters precisely, such as waxpressure, wax flow and wax temperature. It is the reason that rejection rate of wax modelis extremely high. In order to get a way to improve quality of wax model, this paper takeswax injector which has50T clamping force as an example to design the hydraulic system.In the process of wax injecting, wax pressure and wax flow can be controlled precisely.Then, modeling and simulation have been done to prove whether the hydraulic system isreasonable to meet the control require.In the beginning, the clamping hydraulic system is improved to make sure thatclamping force can be controlled continuously and proportionably. Applyingelectro-hydraulic proportional technology in the hydraulic system can make sure that waxpressure and wax flow is closed-loop controlled.Modeling and simulation for electro-hydraulic proportional pressure reducing valveand load sensitive pump have been done in AMESim simulation software. Then, model ofwax injector hydraulic system is built to simulate the process of wax injection. On thebasis of simulation analysis, wax pressure and wax flow can quickly track the specifiedsignal and the system response is good. A conclusion can be drew that the hydraulicsystem of wax injector is designed correctly and precise control of wax pressure and waxflow can improve quality of wax mould.Analyzing wax pressure and wax flow database and the influence of temperature onwax flow, wax flow prediction model is established on the basis of fuzzy logic. Within thespecified scope of wax temperature, the suitable wax flow at this temperature can bepredicted by the prediction model.
