Research On Hegang Museum Landscape Design Based On Vernacular Idea

In this paper, that design strategy and principles are proposed to the use ofHegang museum landscape design based on vernacular idea, which is of importantduring the over-exploitation that caused poor eco-environment and lacking ofregional culture.First of all, five status of vernacular idea are elaborated, they are: eco, culture,shape, action and mentality that are used to describing the idea specifically.According to these, constituent elements, features of landscape and ways ofcombination are used to explain the feasibility of the idea which is experimenting inHegang museum plaza landscape design.Secondly, the paper proposed combining the principles and strategies ofvernacular idea and landscape. By analyzing the combination of vernacular idea andlandscape, we propose five principles, such as eco-development, regional culturereflection, unified form, active site and pleasure place. Five principles and strategiesare also be made to satisfy the need of the people that includes eco-vernacularprotection, reusing the regional culture, form of vernacular extraction, experienceplaces establishment.At last, design the Hegang square landscape by vernacular idea and proposeparticular design methods based on vernacular idea. The case study contributes tothe combination of the vernacular idea and reality which supports its’ feasibility. Itis expected to make greater contributions to the contemporary landscape with theapplication of vernacular idea.
