People are worried about urbanexpansion and environmental deterioration, so it makes the city internal low utilizationrate spaces and abandoned spaces got attention, and air raid shelter space is one of them.Especially for mountainous cities like Chongqing, the shelter space is much larger thanthe others, and the vast space led city have to use it as a key in the process of urbandevelopment, and make specific design.Article start from the constraints of urban development space, consider theunderground space and abandoned space, triggering for explore of such massive lowutilization rate of space such as air raid shelter. Based on the analysis of several air raidshelters both at home and abroad, combed with the relevant utilization theory of air raidshelter and underground space, make the mountainous city shelter as a research object,based on the traditional air raid shelter reusing research, versatile of air raid shelter’ssingle space transformation is put forward. According to lightness and room spacerelationships, with three different kinds of people’s shelter space familiarity to dividedinto three parts,1, white space (outer space),2, grey space (entrance space),3, blackspace (inside space).
