Rapid urbanization caused spatial sprawl and skyrocketing motor vehicle use,causing traffic congestion, injuries, and reduce city efficiency. Meanwhile, high energyconsumption leads to the energy crisis, environmental degradation. So voice of theresidents of the city livable healthy environment and sustainable development isgrowing.According to the traffic situation and development trend of the metropolitan area, itargues that the Qi Ling-Zhan Yi-Ma Long metropolitan area facing the multiplepressures of rapid motorization, energy conservation, environmental protection, iturgent need to develop green traffic to promote the transformation of the eco-city.Combined with the green transportation experience, this paper proposed Green RoadTraffic Planning ideas: transportation guide the land layout, the integrated road network,low-carbon travel, and efficient service. The objectives are as follows: intensive layoutto reduce energy consumption, convenient road network with high efficiency, goodquality and low-carbon, promoting the construction of ecological livable city. Can beimplemented by soft environment and hard management techniques. Focusing on theplanning of road traffic from macro-view, medium-view and micro-view.At first, in the macro level, it focuses on regional integration of theQiling-Zhanyi-Malong metropolitan area of the green road traffic planning. Trafficskeleton guide the land use layout of the metropolitan area, form land use-transportmode which can get high reachability and reasonable traffic demand fundamentally.With the expressway network security integration road supply, make sure the greentraffic patterns is mainly to public transport and slow traffic as the dominant, to promoteurban road traffic low-carbon and efficient. Second, on the medium aspect, the emphasisis on the green road traffic planning all about inter-district and internal district.Transportation hub and the corridor guide the public service into a multi-center layout,with the scientific way to organize necessary fast traffic across districts and convenientinternal traffic. The multiple corridors contact the inter-district traffic fast and thedifferent functions make the road network of internal district different layout. It wouldstrengthen the quick connec to promote the road network active highly andconvenient.It builds up the as rail and express bus as the main traffic patterns inlong-middle distance while mass transit and non-motorized transport with short-distance.And the third, on the microscopic aspect, it is important to plan theimportant slow space under the green traffic organization, designing the typical roadswith green way,to provide a comfortable humanization transportation space for theQi-Zhan-Ma metropolitan areaFinally, come to the conclusion of green traffic planning points, summarized theinnovation and the insufficiency in the studying process, and makes further prospects.
