Study On Arterial Highways Into Urban Area In The Process Of Chinese Urban Sprawl

The city is the center of human social, political, economic and cultural life, the level ofurbanization reflects the progress of human civilization and economic and socialdevelopment trends.In recent years,our society enhances the level of urbanization(urbanization) as an important indicator of one measure of economic development, and alsoas one of the important criteria to measure comprehensively promote the well-offsociety.Urbanization (urbanization) has become one of the key factors of economic growthin China.Been clearly put forward the strategy of "urbanization" in China since1998, theurbanization process accelerated development track in the city to accelerate the process ofexpansion and growth, many cities around the highway (ie, the suburbs or urban fringeroads) with the cityexpansion of the scope is gradually being eroded.The original trunkroads in the urban expansion process began to play the function of urban roads,theownership of the road and use has gradually changed too vague compared to urban roadsand trunk roads has not been eroded.This article aims to study the problem of arterial highway into the city-wide in the backof urbanization.First of all, this paper discusses the concept and the type of the cityexpansion, analysises the present situation of Chinese urban sprawl and xian city,anddiscusses the city expansion’s favorable and unfavorable influence.Second, this paper takesthe xian city as an example to briefly introduce the present situation of the arterial highwayinto the city, and analyzes the problem from six aspects--the management organization,management level, the strength of management, management and maintenance funds,service ability and the level.Third, this paper introduces the arterial road, urban roadconcept and legal definition, analyzes the similarities and differences from five aspects, anddeeply analyzes phenomenon of arterial road into the city from three aspects. Finally, thispaper analyzes and put forward the reform proposals.In summary, this study of the phenomeno of highway into the city has become aninevitable problem.People carefuily analyze this issue help to properly handle this problem,straightening out the system and perfecting the law. And the study have very important sense to carry out the research of urbanization, the urban expansion, city planning, rationalanalysis and urban road traffic problem.
