Hydraulic hose assembly with good flexibility, strong bearing capacity andconvenient connection has been widely used in all kinds of hydraulic equipment. It’sreliability performance is directly related with the reliability of the equipment. So, thereliability evaluation and reliability test of hydraulic hose assembiy are researchedsystematically from failure analysis, the setting of enhanced layer steel wire angle,reliability evaluation method, the design of reliability test-bed, reliability test and so on inthis dissertation.Firstly, the common and potential failure mode and failure mechanism of thehydraulic hose assembly are analyzed, and then the influencing factors of its reliability arefound. The further improvement measures of steel angle, bending radius are put forward.The influence of wire angle combination’s on stress and strain levels of enhancement layerof multilayer steel wire hydraulic hose are analyzed by using the finite element analysissoftware ANSYS, this provides guidance in the formulation of steel angle. The points forattention in the reasonable selection and using method and daily maintenance of hydraulichose assembly are also indicated.Secondly, reliability evaluation is based on the data of the reliability. In view of thedifferent reliability data, two kinds of reliability evaluation of hydraulic hose assembly areproposed that is based on the reliability test data and the field information. The formeruses the mathematical statistical method to process the test data for finding the failuredistributions and then evaluates its reliability. The latter uses the fuzzy evaluation methodto evaluate the reliability of hydraulic hose assembly under different working environmentand different working conditions.Then, in order to obtain test data for reliability evaluation, reliability test-bed aredesigned according to the test requirements. A pulse test-bed is designed by usingelectro-hydraulic servo technology and virtual instrument technology, a pressure-proof andburst testing-bed is also designed based on gas-liquid elements such as air driven booster pump and virtual instrument technology.Finally, the testing of pulse and pressure and demolition for hose assembly made ofpolytetrafluoroethylene material are carried on in the reliability test-bed that was designed.The result shows that the reliability of the hose assembly is comply with the designrequirements in the analysis and evaluating the experimental data by using the evaluationmethod based on the test date that was put forward. What’s more, it also verifys thefeasibility of the reliability evaluation method.
