How to select the best partners in many suppliers, and how topurchase the most suitable handling equipment for the development of the port in thefuture, This is the problem that many port enterprise need to think and solved. Bidinvitation is the main way of equipment procurement, and the bid evaluation is thecore links of the bidding. Scientific and fairness of the bid evaluation is directlyrelated to the quality and operating efficiency of the port handling equipment.This paper selected the method of port handling equipment procurementevaluation as an object of study, research around all aspects of equipmentprocurement to explore the appropriate equipment procurement evaluation system.This paper take the Tianjin Port as an example. First of all, research and analysis theequipment procurement of Tianjin Port in recent years, and find that a set of maturetechnological process is initially established, the types of equipment procurement isvariety and the quantity and quality is increasing fast. This highlights the importanceof science equipment procurement management and evaluation system for thesustainable development of Tianjin port enterprises. Secondly, This paper establishedthe evaluation index system of port handling equipment procurement. Throughanalysis the reason of establish equipment procurement evaluation index system,contrast used equipment procurement bid evaluation method, ultimately proposed touse an integrated scoring in the evaluate of equipment procurement activities.Third, this paper presents the evaluation method of the equipment procurementevaluation index system—Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), described and analyzedthe theory of AHP. Finally take the instances of Tianjin Port as an example,constructed the procurement evaluation system which meet the actual situation of theTianjin Port.Take the Tianjin bulk cargo port an a specialized port purchasing10T loader asan example, using AHP to comprehensive evaluate the equipment performance ofvarious equipment suppliers, Show the actual significance of this method in the porthandling equipment procurement.
