With the development of science and technology, the application of the embedded system products are increasingly rich,the market is growing fast, especially in the field of communication, network monitoring, consumer electronics and industrial automation applications more widely. At present, the embedded technology has become industrial products and information products common development direction, and at the same time, the ARM has a low-power, high-performance, wide range of applications and so on; Linux system has simple operation and characteristics of open source code also has become the mainstream of the embedded operating system. Today, there are more and more monitoring devices using the ARM microprocessor and Linux operating systems.In recent years, the safe operation of the crane has become a large-scale industrial production of the basic problem,if there is no security machinery of production, it can not achieve the desired efficiency,even with no safety monitoring facilities are causing great casualties and property losses. Now the large crane safety monitoring system of efficient and reliable is imminent. In response to this phenomenon, we can use the DM3730dual-core processor and embedded Linux operating system, designed a remote monitoring system, the working condition of the crane equipment and on-site video signal is transmitted to a remote control room, to timely and deal with all kinds of emergencies crane made adequate preparation.In this paper, through the analysis of the current trends of the Internet, according to the actual situation, choice the China Unicorn’s WCDMA3G network and VPN technology to build the system’s network environment. In order to realize the computer serial signal operation and treatment, using Qt software and embedded SQLite database programming combined with complete data collection and storage, at the same time,the target board were transplanted embedded Web server and video server,the monitoring terminal can through the Internet browser access the Web server, get real-time monitoring signal, and finally realize the remote monitoring of the crane.
