With the advantages of small size, high reliability, perfect performance, etc., embedded devices are widely used in many fields like industrial control, medical and health, smart home and so forth. Meanwhile, with the rapid development of Internet technology, Web technologies based on the Internet grow gradually and become mature. If the embedded system and the Internet are combined to produce a web-based monitoring system, it will bring greater convenience. Therefore, it poses an inevitable trend with the combination of the embedded system and the Internet.The current project originates from an exploration on the upgrade of shipboard satellite communications products, in which we replace the original C8051F120 MCU into AT91SAM9G45 ARM chip by transplanting the Linux operating system on this platform and deploying applicable software development environment (Boa, SQLite, etc.). After that, we write the software of monitoring system by using of Http, Ajax, JavaScript and other technologies in this environment. The research is focused on the research and design of shipboard satellite communication earth station monitoring system based on B/S structure.The innovation of this project lies in the fact that we have changed the form of the traditional C/S monitoring method into B/S monitoring method by using web technologies. As a result, users can simply monitor the earth station system by installing a browser. This kind of monitoring method enjoys the advantages of simple operation and easy management. At the same time, through transplanting of the wireless network card driver and using wireless WiFi technology, monitoring pages can be accessed in many mobile terminals (mobile phone, PAD, etc.), which turns it convenient for the users to exploit the monitoring system.
