The technology of Photovoltaic Grid-connected Power Generation has been increasingly applied in various countries around the world. Under the backdrop of global energy shortage, that it has such advantages as environmental-friendliness, greenness and economy has made the Solar Power become one of new energies which need vigorous development in the future. The Photovoltaic Inverter is the core of the Photovoltaic Grid-connected Power Generation System, so whether it can work normally or not is related with the operation of the whole system. Therefore, it is particularly significant to design a set of Intelligent Monitor System so as to make the Photovoltaic Inverter work in a safe, efficient and controllable state. This has also become an increasingly valuable issue in the area of Photovoltaic Power Generation in recent years.This paper is based on the design of Photovoltaic Inverter Monitor embedded in a Linux operating system on the Embedded Platform. This system has access to and control of the Inverter by transplanting the Web server and accessing to the Internet in the Linux system, which ensures the safety and efficiency of the Inverter. The integral monitoring framework of this system is:Photovoltaic Inverter connects to ARM monitoring platform through the RS485Bus; Linux operating system is embedded and the Web server is transplanted on the ARM platform; The remote monitor port can have access to and control of the Photovoltaic Inverter by browsers on the computer.This paper has completed the hardware design of a monitoring platform, set up a software platform of the Linux operating system on the hardware platform, and realized the functions of the embedded SQLite database and Web server.The hardware part mainly includes the designs of power supply circuit, USB circuit, JTAG circuit, RS485interface, Ethernet interface and extended port circuit, etc.; The software part includes the designs of transplantation of embedded Linux operating system, establishment of a development environment, writing of the driver programming, transplantation of SQLite database and detailed building-process of Web server. In the end, this paper also discusses the detailed designing process of the application and the monitoring page. After the system test results, it is concluded that this system can effectively has access to and control of the Inverter by the Web server, which has achieved the expectation.
