The functional tester in the automotive electronic control panel is designed fortraditional manual testing and demand of flexible operation, which can automatically,quickly and accurately complete various functional tests for circuit boards. Engineers canalso modify the testing steps and parameter according to different requirements. All testresults will be saved in system files which is easy to be called at any time in the future.This tester, with powerful function, which can test a variety of automotive electroniccontrol panels, is general control panel of automatic test system that test system with othergeneral instrument combination of function which is nothing comparable to this advantage.This dissertation mainly takes the car control plate based on the Ford B2e platform asthe object of study, designing and developing the relevant electrical control system withthe combination of mechanical and electrical control. Firstly, Pro/E is used to designpreliminarily the3D assembly model of the test system. Then the definition of theassembly relationship between different parts is set up. During the test, the cylinder willpush the tested control plate up so that the electronic control board pad on the plate couldcontact with the PIN needle which is on the fixed tool closely. As a result, the tester canachieve the goal of testing the electronic board to be measured.When the electronic control plate to be tested contacts with the tool fully, electricalcontrol system of the test system begin to work. Users can operate the electrical controlsystem which consists of two parts through the HMI device. In the first part of the system,users can not only operate the whole tester through the configuration interfaceprogramming software Wincc Flexible, but also supervise the control results of PLC andget the feedback. In the second part, PLC is the main hub of the entire electrical controlsystem, which can control the actions including controlling cylinder up to a specifiedlocation, communicating with the host computer, and getting the feedback of the final testresults. In this dissertation, the design and development of the automotive electronic controlpanel in the functional tester, achieve a certain theoretical significance and practical valuein the design of automotive electronic control panel function test machine, as well assimilar products.
