The development of mechanical manufacturing places more demands on qualitycontrol. Manufacturing high quality products not only depends on the high closeprocessing equipment, also need high precision testing equipment, Now, The threecoordinate measuring machine,as a kind of high precision measuring instruments, hasbecame an important part of Computer Integrated Manufacturing System, and it’s widelyused in various industries. Therefore, layout of the three coordinates measuring detectiontechnology research has very important practical significance.Polychromatic sets theory is found in the aviation industry, by the famous professoraircraft design and manufacturing experts Pavlov by decades of scientific research practice,which showing a kind of new system theory in the1980s. This theory has the transparency,clear concept, easy understanding, easy to computer language, computer programming,compatibility, simple algorithm complexity and a series of advantages.The article conducted a research on the related technologies and applications on thecomputer aided inspection planning system for intelligent three coordinate measuringmachine based on Polychromatic sets theory. The main accomplishments are: introducedthe common methods of inspection planning through measured information of elementsproduced by3D CAD system and with Polychromatic Sets Theory applied, a PS layeredstructural model could be built with the measured information of elements, which servedas a foundation for the future implement of inspection planning; studied on the placementof elements and determining the reference position; focused on the selection and inferencemethod of probe of the singular elements and optimized selection of the entire part andbased on the model of measured information, the mathematical model of the problemcould be built, combined with the experience of the choice of the probe, and with theconstraint model built by Boolean matrix, the constraints of the problem could be directlydescribed and it’s necessary to select reasonable probe type, size and measure direction;based on the model of measured information, the sampling strategy could be generatedand by optimizing the strategy, each elements would gain reasonable measurements andthrough adopting equally-distribute method and Hammersley serial sampling method, thesample points could be determined. The article adopted Polychromatic sets theory to buildinspection planning model and by closely connecting the elements information with the knowledge of inspection planning, the relationship between them could be produced;gained reasonable programming result through the combination of colored logicalcalculation of Polychromatic sets theory method and fuzzy mathematics.This topic designed was planning prototype system for the CAD/CAM system, whichapplied for parts inspection. the development tools for this task included PRO/E, VisualStudio2008, Windows XP, Microsoft Access. Finally designing the user interface andrelated technology was verified.
