The main equipment of large transformer as the power production and transportation, is one of thecore equipment of the electric power system, it is important for the safety performance.Because of many reasons, malignant faults occur, but a serious fault, we must overhaul,seriously affect the safe and stable operation of the power grid, it will cause significanteconomic losses. Therefore, in order to ensure the safe operation of large transformer variabletransformer, regular maintenance to state maintenance, is the development direction oftransformer maintenance in the future.Insulation structure of oil-immersed transformers use is actually the oil-paper insulationstructure, when there is potential fault or fault, because the role of heat and electricity, oil andaging of organic insulating materials will be one point one points, this kind of low molecularhydrocarbon gases, such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide can produce. It is because ofthe thermal stability of the chemical bond structure of different hydrocarbons contained is notthe same as the amount of gas generated, fault and fault components and parts and the sourceof the energy density is very close, the insulation gas production characteristics of materialwas analyzed based on principle of transformer fault judgment for the dissolved gas in oil.The general principle of oil chromatographic on-line monitoring device, system open theinlet line, transformer oil on its own oil through the sampling port into the oil and gasseparation device, dissolved gas is separated, residual oil into the fuel tank, followed bydissolved gas carrier gas chromatography column, reach the detector, signal is composed ofall components concentration is monitor module installed to change, which is the process, isfed into the computer in order to achieve a spectrum was collected, spectrum after the analysisand the peak processing, get the concentration data of components, through the broadbanddata network (or wireless remote communication system) will be on-line monitoring stationmain control room as data the transmission destination, chromatographic data can be suppliedto the software analysis, can change automatically generated concentration trend chart, andthe main transformer fault diagnosis method using intelligent diagnostic program locationsystem.This paper embarks from the practical application angle, through the explanation of therelationship between gas in transformer oil and transformer fault, through the oilchromatographic on-line monitoring device structure, function as well as the typicalapplication of explanation, make site operation and maintenance personnel can master thestructure and theory of domestic and foreign oil chromatogram device, to understand the working process equipment, more accurate judgment of main transformer, high resistance tointernal operation; at the same time, analysis and improvement of oil chromatographic on-linemonitoring device manufacturers and technical design staff in the direction of the device, putforward their own views, for reference.
