With the rapid growth of China’s economy, the demand for oil and gas energy isalso increasing year by year. To meet the demand for oil and gas caused by economydevelopment in our country, the western oil and gas development speed will further beaccelerated, construction of larger diameter pipeline will increase rapidly, and thecorresponding special construction machinery vehicles will also continue to increase.Inorder to supervise these special vehicles effectively and timely, research anddevelopment of specialized monitoring system are necessary and useful.In this thesis, a remote vehicle monitoring terminal for the crawler-type mobilegenerator vehicle of CNPC Sichuan Petroleum has been researched and developed.Based on reality, benefitting from3G wireless network’s fast transmission speed andpositioning through GPS, the remote monitoring terminal based on S3C2440has beendesigned completely, which has excellent data processing ability,good reliability,extremely fast data transmission speed, etc. And the remote monitoring terminal canalso be used for image acquisition.This thesis’s main contents are as follows:1) According to project requirements, the overall hardware circuit design ofvehicle’s remote monitoring terminal based on S3C2440processor was put forward.2) According to the overall design, through further research and analysis, the signalcollection circuits of the water temperature, the amount of oil, oil pressure, therotational speed of the engine and the inclination of the vehicle were designed.And thedesigned circuits are separately able to save the monitoring parameter, achieve Imageacquisition, obtain the GPS information, transmit large amount of data through the3Gwireless communication network.3) Software development and a series of functions,including vehicle’s operatingcondition parameter acquisition, image information collection, the GPS informationextraction, monitoring parameters storage and data upload, have been realized on thehardware platform of vehicle’s remote monitoring terminal.4) The terminal has been loaded in the specific case, and done field tests on the mobile generator.By far, monitor terminal of vehicle has finished some requirements, for example,acquisition of vehicle’s operating condition parameter, acquisition of static images anddynamic image, acquisition of GPS information, preservation of important monitoringparameters, and data upload.
