In recent years, transportation becomes more and more well-developed, the demand for people to travel also showed significant growth trend, the attendant, traffic congestion, accidents frequent phenomenon intensified. Therefore, how to mitigate and reduce the occurrence of such phenomena, so that the vehicle before the accident to eliminate the safety risks to become extremely important, how the vehicle remote monitoring, scheduling and intelligent management become a hot research.With the rapid development of today’s Internet of Things, as a big part of it, car networking is also growing, and thus brought the rapid development of automotive electronics industry, in this context, remote data transmission technology has become increasingly mature. To solve the problem facing the application of existing technologies, we design a set of automotive telematics management system, vehicle location, condition and other information of remote monitoring.Firstly, the overall system program was designed to determine the function of the system to be achieved, while the CAN, GPS and GPRS and other key technologies used by the system to do the research. Then, through the analysis of these data formats and technologies related agreement, worked out a vehicle data acquisition terminal hardware and software design. For the selection of hardware from the power circuit, the core system circuit, an input interface circuit, an output interface circuits were studied separately, secondary development; conduct research on various operating systems, research shows, Linux systems can be used as vehicle data collection terminal some of the best software development environment under Linux systems, application programming technology, the CAN communication, GPRS communication, and conducted a number of optimization algorithms to ensure the reliability of data transmission. Finally, the server is set up, and in order to ensure that the system login convenience, selection of the client in the form of PC software to replace the form of monitoring Web page, as remote monitoring platform, the joint use of development tools Visual Basic in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 compiler environment and MATLAB has developed a remote monitoring platform software running under Windows operating systems.In this paper, a complete set of car telematics management system, and its data were collected practical applications, the results show that the system works well. The system enables remote monitoring of a vehicle.
