Energy is necessary for national development,electric power is indispensable material in people’s daily life, with the energy demand increasing, it is important to improve power efficiency and quality, realize the effective monitoring of the electrical energy.Because of the high price of foreign monitoring instruments, and domestic instruments have single function, real-time function is not good. With the development of embedded chip technology and public communication network quality, the ARM embedded technology and GPRS technology are combined to solve the electric power remote monitoring and quality parameters problem,to realize the real-time monitoring, record and analysis of power parameters. The analysis can provide important basis to improve the quality of electric power quality.The paper introduces the power quality parameter measurement principle and method of analysis. After the comprehensive analysis of domestic research and development, design the remote monitoring system base on the ARM and GPRS. The system is composed of data sampling module, data communication module, data processing analysis and debug module. The data sample apply the high precision measurement chip ATT7022B, online measurement of voltage, current, and other basic power parameters, to evaluate the harmonics, frequency deviation, voltage fluctuation. The core control panel is made of microprocessor S3C2440A, various peripheral interface.The LCD display design for the human-machine interface board, can supply the query function on site. Data communication is composed of RS232and GPRS module interface to realize the combination of the Internet network, data monitoring is realized by the computer data base management software.The paper consists of the following parts:first introduces some relevant theoretical knowledge including power parameters, basic knowledge of GPRS technology; secondly the part of the hardware circuit system, introduces the hardware architecture scheme based on ARM, complete the design of the core board and the peripheral minimum system; lastly the software design of the remote monitoring, mainly introduces each task module under embedded real-time operating system based on Linux system, including data sampling and processing, man-machine exchange information task, data communication, the kernel cutting and transplantation the GPRS module configuration tasks for remote monitoring and control system. And then introduces the design of the host computer software, including interface, various function module, database, software package and other design.Finally, the paper completes to debug hardware and software system and error analysis. In this foundation, it complete the overall testing of the overall system. Compare the realistic value of voltage, electrical current, frequency to the test value. Note nine harmonic electrical current contain percentage. And putting forward some problems to be solved, and it forecasts the future development tendency.
