As we known, the construction of highway developed rapidly in China, The hi ghway which were built in the late80s early90s, need to be conserved appeare d much diseases such as the pavement performance decline、Pavement damaged s eriously. In generally, Traditional conservation methods are passive corrective mai ntenance, not only construction quantity is larger and cost is higher but also the work time is longer, thus ineffective. Preventive maintenance has become an ine viTablele choice in the condition that the maintenance funds are limited while th e scale is large. So studying the pavement performance evaluation system、perfor mance prediction model and the optimization model of preventive maintenance m easures have important theoretical significance and practical value, in order to en sure engineering technical effect and economic benefits, make the maintenance m ore scientific, improve the status quo of highway construction and maintenanceFirst, research on asphalt pavement performance evaluation system of highway at home and abroad, put forward the problems exist in the current system.Based on the research about preventive maintenance of highway asphalt pavement. Pro posed the evaluation index system which composed of a single evaluation index structure strength coefficient (SSI) and a comprehensive evaluation index (PQI) t hat contain crack rate index (CRT)、 road quality index (RQI)、rut depth index (RDI)、sliding performance index (SRI).Secondly, analyze the influencing factors about pavement performance and rese arch on the advantages and application about common highway asphalt pavement performance prediction model at home and abroad. Then put forward the highw ay asphalt pavement performance decays curve as prediction model. Analysis the pavement performance prediction model, as Chongqing yuqian highway for exa mple.Then, combine with the common diseases types of highway asphalt pavement which emerge in the early stage. Divide the preventive maintenance technical me asures that were used commonly at home and abroad into four categories, the cr ack of seam filling、sealing surface layer、thin layer of face of the cover of cl ass and asphalt reclamation, introduce the definition、applied materia、features、 road condition as well as the advantages and disadvantages about them.Finally, summarize the current methods to select highway preventive conservati on measures, combined with the experience of the decision matrix model, throug h the application of fuzzy mathematics and the method of analytic hierarchy theo ry, esTablelish a fuzzy integrated decision-making model, as Chongqing yuqian hi ghway for example, determined the preventive maintenance measures which are suiTablele for Chongqing yuqian highway.
