Hydraulic excavators are important modernization construction machinery, theyare widely used in buildings, roads, agriculture and many other fields. The hydraulicexcavator working device is the executor of digger function implementation, itsreliability and durability directly reflect the quality of excavators, so to work on thehydraulic excavator working device welded fatigue life analysis is great significance.This paper introduces the fatigue assessment standards which are widely use,include the International Institute of Welding IIW standard and British Steel structureBS standard, according to the standards assessment route to carry out the weldingfatigue life analysis of working device. First, analysis of hydraulic excavator workingdevice operation process and calculation, a medium exactor3D model were establishedbased on2D drawings and were imported the simulation software of ADAMS/View formining process dynamics simulation. Then stress values were calculated in the finiteelement software of ANSYSWorkbench by using results of hinge point force of theworking device by simulation calculation. Finally, choose fatigue assessment pointsaccording to the results of the static strength analysis of working device, using dynamicstress spectrum and the above two kinds of fatigue assessment standard to calculate thewelding fatigue life of the working.This paper is based on the excavator working device as the research object, throughcomparison analysis of the two standard life assessment results and process, the twoassessment process are similar, the specific datas are different, but the positions thatshould be paid attention to in the design and machining are consistent. Using the sameload spectrum, the BS standard assessment results are smaller than the IIW standard, theBS standard is strictly than the IIW standard, because of the BS standard gives thedetails of the potential location of crack, the processing requirements etc., are moresuitable in practical engineering applications.
