The protection of the historic district (HD) has attracted increasing attention, and the most important factor to affect the HD safety is fire disaster. However, there are no special standards and law on protecting HD from fire. Based onresearch of typical domestic and foreign historic districts, this thesis gives acomprehensive analysis on the particularity of fire safety of HD, builds a completeindex system, and gives specific countermeasures of fire safety to help peopleoptimize and protect HD better.First, we sort out and summarize a large number of domestic and foreignliterature, analyze current fire regulations, combine with statistical data of FireDepartment of ministry of Public Security on the cause of the fire, and get thecity-level fire safety impact factor system (city fire protection framework). InChapter3, we analyze the particularity of the historic district fire safety. Throughfield research, we come to the fire characteristics of the historic district, and westudy in detail the various causes of fire, and the factors that hinder fire fighting. On this basis, in Chapter4, specifically for the historic district, we established anindex system of fire safety impact factors, which are divided into two parts: spaceand non-spatial factors. Space factors is mainly composed of two parts: theplanning, and the building itself. In Chapter5, from three aspects: the renovationand transformation of the building, planning measures and means, fire-fightingfacilities and technology, we propose a relatively complete set of fire preventiontechniques and countermeasures. And put forward a series of recommendationsfrom the perspective of planning, administration and social measures. Finally, at the end of the thesis, the problems and deficiencies in this thesisare described, and the direction for further research and improvements are pointedout.
