With the continuous advancement of the modernization process,people have gradually put forward higher requirements for the living environment of urban space,and the viability and vitality of urban historical blocks have become the focus of public attention.At present,in response to the emergence of various problems such as insufficient vitality and inconsistent functions in the historical districts after the renewal of the old city,all walks of life have reflected on the past renewal experience,and have begun to intervene in the renewal with the concept of "small-scale and gradual".Work to explore the activation and development of historical blocks in the process of modern cities.The thesis explores the vitality elements of historic districts and summarizes them by analyzing the current vigorous outward performance of historic districts and the entry methods and optimization points in the more well-known domestic historic district reconstruction cases in recent years.Secondly,the first batch of characteristic towns announced by the state-Lanxi Old Street(Lanxi Street-Lanxi Back Street-Gonghe Street Section)in Datong Ancient Town,Tongling was selected as the research object,and the current situation investigation and use evaluation analysis were carried out.Summarize the current problems facing the block.Finally,comprehensive research conclusions and vital components of historic districts are put forward to specific design strategies.At the level of spatial vitality improvement,improve the spatial landscape and basic public facilities,optimize micro-locations,reshape the spatial interface,and create the slow vitality of the neighborhood;at the level of human vitality improvement,focus on expressing humanistic connections,implanting cultural activities,and constructing cultural landscapes.Create a culturally diverse and readable historical block;at the level of improving the vitality of crowd behavior,encourage the independent participation of block residents,introduce creative people to settle in,and activate the atmosphere of the block.And combined with specific strategies to carry out conceptual design practice for the existing problems of Lanxi Old Street.
