Many production enterprises are facing more and more challenges with the rapid development of China’s industrial. The companies need to improve production efficiency, Comply with environmental requirements and Reduce the operating costs, to Success in today’s competitive global market. The automation systems has some advantage like:To reduce the human resources, improve the product’s consistency and quality, Suitable for mass production, reduce the cost of production. improve the production efficiency, and so on. So it been used more and more frequently. This study is a set of air compressor power and energy workshop on large vehicle manufacturer automated operation system. The system composed by host computer, measuring equipment, driven equipment and monitoring equipment. It make the handling personnel only worked in the control room. By the way, save the labor of the workshop, avoid the errors caused by manual and instability, So as to realize the purpose of energy saving and environmental protection.This paper mainly studies how to realize the data exchange between the communication protocols MODBUS, PROFIBUS, CANBUS, and how does the air tank inlet valve realize the PID adjustment, which in order to maintain the stable air pressure inside. In this paper, the air compressor control system and the ship block assembly control system, which are based on the distributed field bus standard, adopt the industrial programmable logic controller and its corresponding modules as the control device, and at the same time equipped with the measuring equipment standardized of high precision. All these have enhanced the stability, versatility and scalability of the system, so as to realize the automatic production of air compressor gas process.
