Globoidal indexing Cam mechanism is usually used to implement theintermittence and graduated motion, owned the advantages of compact structure, lowcost, high indexing precision, and fast indexing speed. Widely used in automatic andsemiautomatic equipment. As a common mechanism, the domestic has not completedthe corresponding accuracy detection and developed appropriate error assessmentstandards, which limits the organization’s wide range of applications. In this paper,the following research work is expandedThe paper began to analyze from the globoidal cam mechanism’s engagementtheory, summarized globoidal indexing Cam’s contour surface machining errorsources. By using the method of rotation matrix group to establish globoidal indexingcam’s contour surface’s processing error theory model, And used the Matlab and UGsoftware to establish Globoidal indexing Cam mechanism precise3d CAD model. Toavoid interference, modification treatment needed to be engaged in the Globoidalcam’s beginning and end of the profile surface.Established the globoidal kinematic model with error; get error propagationcoefficient by differential method; studied the tolerance allocation of the Globoidalindexing Cam mechanism, respectively selected the simple method and the optimalcost control method based on the best limit deviation method. Combination specificGloboidal Cam mechanism of parameters, develop tolerance allocation table underdifferent output indexing accuracy requirements; thus go on with the sources of errorof the corresponding contour surface processing’s tolerance allocation, Draw for thegreatest impact for profile error processing is the machine tool system error.This paper distributes the significant errors of Globoidal indexing Cammechanism by orthogonal experiment and establishes3d CAD model with error tomake Dynamic simulation by ADAMS. This paper compared rotary table’s angularvelocity graphics and the data of the rotary table’s angular displacement, to check uperror’s infection for indexing accuracy of Cam mechanism.This paper maked the criterion of conventional measuring project of Globoidalindexing Cam, and formulated the precision measurement standards of correspondingGloboidal indexing Cam. Using three coordinate measuring machine carried outGloboidal indexing Cam’s actual measurement. By using programming on AC-DMIS,the Globoidal indexing Cam’s contour surface was measured. The measurement results were analyzed and data processing was evaluated, and compared with theplanning tolerance.
