In the last three decades, from a border town, Shenzhen has become an internationalmetropolis, which has made remarkable achievements in economy, politic, culture and etc.Under the background of system reform, state transition and accelerating urbanization,Shenzhen is always walking at the forefront of China’s reform and opening-up for its uniquelocation advantage. In Shenzhen, with a series of social upheaval, the development of urbanpublic open space has become the enrichment of China’s urban development and has ademonstration and radiation effect on the development of other China’s cities.Through a unique view of landscape architecture’s dynamic analysis, this article attempts todiscuss the urban public open space evolution and history of Shenzhen in the last30years.Based on the art design, from the perspective of objective history, through the systematicanalysis of Shenzhen’s last30years’ economic, political, social, cultural factors, from thelandscape architecture’s material physical layer and spiritual cultural layer in macro, mediumand micro level, this article has summed up the four different development stages and eachstage’s development characteristics of Shenzhen’s landscape architecture of urban public openspace in the last30years, aiming to reveal the inherent law of its development and evolution.Hoping that through the analysis of Shenzhen’s "espresso" and "crash" development, it willhave a reference and enlightenment effect on China’s urban public space construction.Furthermore, from the experience and reflection, a new path of city development can be found,which is suitable for China’s national conditions and conforms to China’s culture.
