With early construction of cement concrete pavement basically reaches or close to the endof its useful life in our country, the pavement structural damage is growing, which seriouslyhave affected the quality of highway use and maked the maintenance work get heavier andheavier. Old cement concrete pavement asphalt surface road that is the main method ofoverhaul, so its research is valueable for engineering practice.That adding asphalt on old road Cement concrete pavement can improve the use ofperformance effectively and extend the life of the road, and costs relatively lowly, and impactsless on the crossings and the environment. This paper,first introduces the detection andevaluation methods of the old road of cement concrete pavement, pavement disease treatmentmethods and the overlay asphalt surface design theory, and then combined by ZengpaiHighway overhaul work of the Zengcheng Town on the methods above and theories arediscussed, finally summarizes the effect of reconstruction through on-site investigation.This paper is based on the engineering example, and provided the evaluation and roadsurface diseases treatment of old cement concrete pavement,and asphalt surface overlaydesign practice which has be proved to good effect and is available for subsequent similarengineering practice to provide a basis.
