Traffic pressure of urban road increases as vehicles grow,to develop bus priority strategy is particularly important,but the development of bus information service lags behind in China,and it can not meet people’s travel needs,so it makes many people give up bus and choose drive by themselves,which increases the burden of traffic.This paper analyzed People’s demands for public transport information,proposed a set of electronic bus stop and online query system,which makes people get the dynamic running information of buses convenient. It improves the quality of service,and attract more people to choose public transportation.First,by the combination of GPS positioning technology and GPRS communication technology,a vehicle-mounted positioning and communication system is designed.And the software of the sever is developed based on LabVIEW,in which data transfered from the vehicle-mounted system is extracted and processed in real time,and then the result of the processed data is updated to the SQL database through the ADO interface.Besides,a monitor display system for real time bus location is designed for the administrator. Secondly,by training a large quantity of samples that acquired by actual,a multiple routes bus arrival time prediction model is established and integrated to the software in the sever based on LibSVM,which performs good in arrival time prediction.Then, a LED electronic bus stop display device is designed in each bus stop for the users to get the bus running information such as bus location and predicted arrival time by connecting remotely to the server.And a user query system interface is developed based on C#web development environment,the information of bus location and time can get dynamiclly according to the constraints given by the users, so travelers can acquire bus information through mobile network terminals.Lastly, a system implementation effect verification is proceeded,which turns out that bus running information can be accurately accessed to the users in time,proves that people’s travel needs can be satisfied by this system,and the pressure of the traffic can be eased at the same time,which has a great practical value.
