Rick masonry structure as a building structure form has a long history, which is widely used in China’s industrial and civil construction sectors. However, the "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake occurred verify the bad characteristics of the seismic performance of brick masonry structure again. For brick structure, the brick wall is the main lateral force resisting members, the destruction of a brick wall will be a direct threat to the security of the building.In August1st2012, the formal implementation of " Code for design of strengthening masonry structures "(GB50702-2011) which refers to paste the fiber composite material as a new kind of ordinary brick wall reinforcement method. However perforated brick masonry wall applications pasted fiber reinforced composites has not been included in the specification.As a new brick wall reinforcement method, paste the fiber composite material reinforcement method still requires further experimental study and theoretical analysis.This thesis make a paste CFRP porous brick wall specimens and four perforated brick masonry wall pasted in different forms of CFRP specimen. Through the test specimen under the low cyclic loads,to study perforated brick wall failure characteristics and the reinforcement effect of paste carbon fiber cloth perforated brick masonry walls. Experimental studies have shown that the paste CFRP can improve the seismic performance of the wall. When the carbon fiber cloth pasted directly into the wall without cement mortar layer, carbon fiber cloth can significantly inhibit the development of cracks in the wall. and to improve the shear capacity of the wall. At the same time,Longitudinal splitting failure of the wall from the test conducted a preliminary analysis. According to the test results, verify the the current Paste fiber composite material to improve ordinary brick wall shear capacity formula applies equally to the sintered porous brick wall. Analyseising wall shear failure pattern from the experimental phenomenon, paste CFRP improve perforated brick wall by the shear capacity as well as a brick wall at high axial compression ratio, should checking baroclinic failure morphology.
