Research On Reconstruction And Extension Project Feasibility Analysis Of GuangXi Coastal Highway

Recently, the demand for transportation is increasing while the performance and service level of expressway is decreasing. Therefore, expressway with better quality and services is needed badly and highway reconstruction projects get heightened attention from decision makers and constructers. A number of domestic expressways have been carried out reconstruction projects with the reconstruction of Shenda expressway.Expressway along the Guangxi coast areas is the main road of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone and the rise of it sets forth stricter requirements for transportation facilities. Reconstruction projects need to be demonstrated comprehensively, such as transportation analysis and prediction, development schemes and economic evaluation. This thesis carries out the feasibility research of projects from the several aspects:the demand of transportation, technical proposal and feasibility evaluation.The research results are shown in the following:through the four-step theory to forecast, the transport volume of expressway along Guangxi coast areas will increase rapidly in the next two decades and reach92259cars per day in2034year, therefore, it is very important to reconstruct. Through the technological demonstration, the method of widening on both sides is used mainly to widen the embankment during the process of the reconstruction, the method of demolition and reconstruction is adopted for the existing cement concrete pavement and then cement should be paved on it to steady macadam road base as well as asphalt concrete surface. Besides, bridge reconstruction adopts mainlythe method of consolidating and widening. Although there is some risk associated with reconstruction projects, it will gain finally more benefits.The reconstruction projects are better to environment, which will make a contribution to regional economy after completing it.
