As a rapidly developing head-mounted graphical display and observation device,an augmented reality helmet display shows great application value and development prospects in various fields. The characteristics of binocularization,multi-content display, and comprehensive application have become mainstream trends in augmented reality helmet displays.Compared with monocular display, the binocular display can provide larger field of view and better visual experience. At first, this article introduces a subjective experimental study of the effect of brightness on the visibility of the interface characters. The result shows that the visibility of the interface character is positively correlated with the size of the character resolution and the brightness of the helmet monitor, and is negatively correlated with the brightness of the external environment.Dual-screen display embedded bottom driver design adopts Xilin's ZedBoard development board as an embedded development platform,it is finished by achieving dual-screen underlying logic paths on the FPGA architecture and the modifing and configuring framebuffer display driver on the ARM architecture.A military helmet information display interface with a wider field of view is designed for the dual-image source binocular helmet helmet display system, and the mobile phone's direction sensor module is used as the data transmission end,and is transmitted. The data is received by the receiving end via the mobile phone's Bluetooth module and sent to the QT application through the uartlite serial port driver to realize the transmission of the serial port data from the sensor to the application interface. Finally, the binocular display application interface and information management software platform are realized.
