| TianGuan ancient village which is in the opposite direction of Hangu Pass resourceseparated by a river is located in the northeast part of Lingbao and south by Xiaoshan.In nowadays, villagers moved to new areas after TianGuan ancient village dilapidated,leaving it as a site of ruins. However, the history here of ancient farming formed asplendid rural culture, leaving us a rich cultural heritage. Relying on the Road Planningand Cultural Heritage Park of Hangu Pass, new development opportunities forTianGuan ancient village rise. With the pursuit of individuality, vacation places withgeographical features become more and more popular. Therefore, it became more andmore important than it was before to treat ancient villages as potential resort resources.TianGuan ancient village is a typical example in northwest area of China. Therefore, itwas selected to analyze the geographical features from the perspective of architecturaldesign in this paper. This paper also discussed the regeneration and development of theancient village based on the example of TianGuan ancient village.TianGuan ancient village has sufficient resources and government support to develop itsmarket as a resort; additionally, its natural feature and cultural background all help withits development as a modern leisure resorts. Therefore, led by the guidance direction forplanning, this paper analyzed the process to transform TianGuan ancient village to amodern high-end leisure resort from the perspective of space, materials, constructionand landscape, based on local cultures as well as research and practice at home andabroad.First of all, this paper began with a comprehensive analysis on good natural, history andculture factors of TianGuan ancient village, and then analyzed the trends, finallyproposed the solution of the problem of resource development as well as the feasibility. Secondly this paper analyzed the space design on the basis of the urban planning; thengot a general idea of the design direction from a macro perspective. After that, thispaper analyzed the design techniques with modern geographical features from theperspectives of space, materials, construction and landscape, which laid the foundationfor our design. Based on the study of the first three parts, the last part of this papershowed the design results of space layout, typical architectural design and landscapedesign. |
