It has brought a lot of convenience to the people’s living and working with thecontinuous development of computer technology, communication technology and geographicinformation system technology. Power system as a special industry, it’s operates safely andorderly related to the normal life of millions of families.Power inspection work carries outsmoothly can protect the facilities operation normally,such as Transmission Equipment,Distribution Equipment, Electrical Equipment.The complexity and difficulty of PowerInspection Work is also increasing with the enrich and increase of Power Facilities,so it’sparticularly important to improve the efficiency,accuracy and real-time of the InspectionWork.Geographic information system technology combined with a mobile phone andback-end information exchange can be a good solution to the problems in the inspectionwork.This thesis studies the application of GIS technology in the Power inspection by using ofmobile phone and background data communication, completed the Power inspection systembased on mobile phones and the background with SuperMap GIS series software. Systemdevelopment using large-scale geographic information system software series whichself-developed by Beijing ultra-Software Company,Including component GIS developmentplatform, desktop GIS platform and navigation applications development platform.Completed GIS functionality of the core part of the inspection system.This thesis describes the key technology of system development, analysis thefeasibility of system development, summarizes the function requirements of the system.Theoverall design of the system includes Map production, mobile terminal Inspection System andbackground desktop Inspection Management System.Map production of the power systemmainly includes the projection of the map, registration, topology,display edit etc.The mobileterminal inspection system completed the functional design of inspection login,my workorders, routine inspection and system upgrade etc.Accomplished the data exchange of thebackground by combining basic operation of map and GPS technology with datacommunication. The main functions of Background Inspection Management System includsdata management, spatial query, the map attribute manipulation, path planning etc.Experimental results show that the accuracy of system positioning is maintained at lessthan3meters which accords the requirements of Power inspection.The interface of inspectionsystem is simple and easy to expand, and operation stablely in actual operation.
