Transportation as the main sector of national economic development and energy consumption, thetransportation has become an important area for our energy reduction. With the sustained, rapid andefficient development of the urban economy, urbanization, motorization level of the continuousimprovement, leading to a rapid expansion of the urban population, urban spatial structure and layout oflarger changes, thus caused greater traffic demand. The traffic demand growths directly bring out the citytransportation energy consumption. Therefore, our country urgently need to use the scientific method toanalyze the precise measurement of city transport energy consumption, throw different developmentscenarios analyses the energy consumption of urban transport, seeking major changes factors in the urbantransport energy consumption, finally, based on development scenarios to forecast and analyses citytransport energy consumption. How to with the minimize energy consumption maximum meet the citytraffic demands, this is not only the comprehensive construction of a conservation-minded society, but alsothe objective requirement of the sustainable development of the city traffic.At present, there are many research methods on energy consumption, the paper selects averageLogarithmic Divisia Index decomposition method (LMDI), based on energy consumption measuring Kayaidentities, build LMDI model of urban transportation energy consumption and analyze various factors ofthe change of the total energy consumption in the urban transport, and set different scene combination, theLMDI model promoted to a variety of scenarios mode decomposition model under the combination ofurban transportation energy consumption, multiple factors change to the total energy consumption impactcontribution analysis method. Firstly, the paper determine the factors affecting the city transportationenergy consumption based on the ASIF structure of city transport energy consumption and combine factorsaffecting energy consumption. Secondly, establish the energy consumption of the transport structure LMDIdecomposition model based on the basis of the Kaya identity expansion, to change the urban transportenergy consumption into vehicle population, annual mileage and cycling energy intensity. Once again,improve the LMDI method into the dynamic combination of scenario decomposition model, according tothe actual situation of the development of the plot design of different social economy, and combine withdifferent scenarios. Finally, take Xi’an as example, verify the practicality and the accuracy of the model, Toreach the goal of urban transportation energy consumption, the most important thing is to control thevehicle ownership and improve the efficiency of energy use, focusing on the influencing factors combined effects. The results of the research provide certain theoretical basis and data support for urban transportenergy-saving emission reduction, enrich the study of urban transport energy consumption.
