Vehicle Terminal System is one of the fundamental contents of the modern fields ofintelligent transportation, which combines a number of areas of knowledge,such as embeddedtechnology, wireless communication technology, GPS positioning technology, GIS, WSN, etc.The system could achieve real-time monitoring of vehicles and their delivery goods, thusprovide strong protection for road transport safety and accident emergency rescue.Under the background of the real-time monitoring of the road transport of dangerouschemical goods, the paper researched and developed a kind of vechicle terminal system basedon embedded Linux. Firstly, the paper researched and implemented the operating system forthe vehicle terminal system around the functional requirements and the overall design of thevehicle terminal system. The main content of this part of work is transplant the operatingsystem kernel, design the root file system and fabricate the LCD device driver for the vehicleterminal; Secondly, the paper achieve the design of the various functional modules based onthe analysis and research of the QT/E graphical interface technology, serial control method ofLinux, the SQLITE storage technology and the redraw technology of Mif map; Then, thepaper analyse the factors which affecting the real-time performance of Linux according theproblem of the lack of real-time embedded Linux system used in the vehicle terminal system,after that focuses on the Linux task scheduling mechanism, and raise the optimization methodbased on the improved LSF algorithm of Linux scheduling mechanism, then test the real-timeperformance of the improved Linux kernel to verify the superiority of the improvement.Finally, the paper carried on the integration of the hardware and software for the vehicleterminal based on embedded Linux system, then do some comprehensive test.Actual tests show the reliable operation of the vehicle terminal system. The system canmeet the needs of the road transport of dangerous goods in transit real-time monitoring inmany respects, such as state data acquisition, status monitoring, alarm in hazardous situation,vehicle positioningļ¼Œstate data remote transmission and local storage, etc.The research will bebeneficial to complete the real-time monitoring task in transit efficiently, thereby enhancingthe security of road transport of dangerous goods in some extent.
