Crane is an important industrial equipment,and is also an important part of logistics, relating tothe country’s economic security and social stability. We find that the crane inspections belong to thebasic routine detection paper from the various regions, which is too general and not scientific., nomore related to crane risk assessment, nor to establish an effective system. For this purpose, based onrisk assessment system of the Internet of things and strain sensor, provided with a more scientificmethod, development of the system will greatly contribute the concept to applying in engineeringdiction and it’ll be of great significance for effective crane risk assessment.This paper introduces the development status of domestic and international risk assessment,introducing the definition of risk factors and consequences. It introduces the concept of the Internet ofthings and focuses on the topic of the network of radio frequency identification technology. Based onthe risk model, we propose on the application on WinCE platform, and put forwards a software andhardware design scheme. We also introduce the WinCE system, synchronization technology andremote SQL Server. In hardware design, we include handheld PDA, based on the radio frequencymodule, electronic tags and the design of strain sensor. Strain sensor use the resistance stain gauge asa sensor, detecting maximum stress measurement on crane’s key positions which filled the crane riskdatabases as equipment bearing. In the paper, the front-end data is uploaded to the server through thePDA.In this paper,based on the development of IOT crane risk assessment system,the existinghoisting machinery for rapid identification and risk calculation by using the PDA. The researchprovides a new method to carry out the system for analysis of heavy machinery.
