Xi’an Dinghao Skyscraper Design Research Based On The Holistic Regionalism Of Architecture Theory

The skyscraper because of its great influence has become the urban pet of theeconomic globalization era. After the1990s, skyscraper becomes very active in Asiaquickly along with the development of economy. China has become the number onemain force of the skyscraper building area in the world. The new trend of developmentof skyscraper in recent years is reflecting the local social image and values in thesecities which have strong regional features. Xi’an skyscraper construction is alsogradually warming up in recent years. As an geographically distinctive features, andthick cultural history of the ancient capital, the city’s modern development has a strongculture to highlight the demands. In this context, skyscraper building requires not onlycareful consideration of various effects, play an active role of guiding and radiation.Must also properly handle the technical and economic, ecological and humanities, andmany other factors.In this paper, with the project design of Ding Hao Building as the research object,put forward overall regional design principles from the construction of the place ofnatural, technological and social aspects, and try to understand and solve all kinds ofcomplex problems skyscrapers have in coordination with multifaceted geographicalconditions. First, the paper summarizes a number of typical cases of high-level designfrom the overall geographical point of view. Second, the paper teases out the localgeographical factors of Xi’an gradually, from the cognitive of the geographicalconditions and the skyscraper development research of Xi’an, to make sure the results oftheoretical studies will be used in Ding Hao Building engineering practice and guidance Ding Hao Building content design, through the rational use of the summary of thedesign strategies and principles. So that Ding Hao Building will obtain thedouble-balanced of economy and technology, and harmonious co-existence with thecity’s cultural and natural environment. And, the universality of the theory applied hasbeen researched further in this paper based on the practice of the project. This paperreveals the dependency of skyscrapers on the geographical conditions by reviewing thecourse of development of skyscrapers, contrasting with the ordinary high-rise building,and analyzing of a variety of geographical factors that affect the skyscraper design. Thispaper also does associational studies on the overall regional architectural theory andskyscrapers. And obtain the feasibility and appropriateness of the skyscrapers studybased on overall regional architectural theory. Thus we can build skyscraper designprinciples based on the overall regional architectural theory.
