The Study On The Environment And Landscape Design Of Village Hotel In The Western Sichuan Plain

The domestic village tourism evolved from the Agri-tourism boomed in the1980s,it witnessed a rapid development under the guide from the village tourism market,village hotel is the important carrier in the development of village tourism, it could notonly mean the experience provided to village tourists who are longing for rural life, itcould also exhibit the classical landscape of rural area that could reflect the lifestyle inthe rural area, as a result, it is necessary to integrate and exploit the good ecology ofrural area in catering to the needs of tourists for leisure, besides, it’s also important thatthe rural ecology shall not be damaged and maintain the exclusive resource favorableecology.The paper will select the typical area Pixian County in the Western Sichaun Plainfor research. The targets for research will be the village hotels in this area. Of the8village hotels selected, different hotels have different characteristics, based on theenvironmental resource depended by these hotels, they could be categorized into severaltypes of cultural legacy as Resources-oriented hotels, Landscape-oriented hotels and theProduction base-oriented hotels；they could also be categorized into two types asintegrated hotels and cultural hotels based on the difference in the operational programs,the study and categorization of the functional sectors as well as the spatial landscapeformation of village hotels will be conducted based on the above-mentioned research,while according to the established layout of hotels, the landscape formation of villagehotels could be divided as Banding along the river, half-closed along the major roads,closed along the major roads and the independent and closed ones. Besides, thediscussion and conclusion will also be made with regard to the important constituent elements for village hotels including layout of buildings, layout of plants and theformation of water body etc. under this assumption, the emphasis will be placed on thelandscape design of Mengtongquan Rural Hotel in Pixian County based on aspects suchas landscape ecology, psychological aspect of tourists and the landscape vision etc, theshortcomings will be improved in the design through the proposal of designing methodsand suggestions for improvement from the perspective of ecology. In the end, theconstruction strategies for Village hotels in the Western Sichaun Plain could be statedas：1Value the cultural construction of village hotel thus to highlight thecultural characteristics of Hotels2Reinforce the ecological concept for cultivation of village hotels3Exhibit the uniqueness of rural area in the landscape design of villagehotels4Clarify the spatial positioning, arrange the spatial layout in a better way,take detailed consideration on the landscape space of key nodesAnd also the key points in the construction of landscape in village hotels inWestern Sichuan Plain: the landscape space design and plants layout design of villagehotels. In the layout of landscape space, the landscape space design based on differentperspectives will be proposed, with regard to the layout of plants landscape, someclassical plants mix will be proposed for village hotels.Through the study on the landscape of village hotels, some strategies andmethods could be concluded that could well provide some guidance and reference forthe construction of village hotels in the future; it could also pose positive influence onthe coordinated development of rural and urban area and improvement of life standardsof rural population as well as the economic development of rural economy; besides, itcould bring practical significance on the development of rural tourism.
